Appointment Services

The West Virginia Tax Division can service customers in-person by appointment.

Locations open include the Taxpayer Engagement Center located in Charleston, as well as the regional offices located in Beckley, Clarksburg, Martinsburg, Parkersburg, and Wheeling.

Before Making an Appointment

Taxpayers are encouraged to contact the Tax Division by phone or email to address their questions before making an appointment for an in-person visit. Taxpayers can ask questions by phone by calling our Taxpayer Services Division at (304) 558-3333 or toll-free 1- 800-982-8297. To Schedule an Appointment

Taxpayers may schedule an appointment online or by calling Taxpayer Services at 304-558-3333. Appointments are available from 9:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday.

If you are ill or experiencing fever, cough, sneezing etc. or have recently traveled to or through a COVID-19 hotspot, please reschedule your appointment. If you have had close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days or have reason to believe you have had close contact with someone who might have COVID-19, please reschedule your appointment.

Payment Plans

Our Compliance Division can be reached at 304-558-8753 for assistance in obtaining a payment plan for a period of greater than twelve months. Requests for payment plans for periods of less than twelve months are available on our Payment Plans page.
