The West Virginia State Tax Department is joining with the IRS in urging taxpayers to be on the lookout for a surge of calls and email phishing attempts about the Coronavirus, or COVID-19. These contacts can lead to tax-related fraud and identity theft. For more information see:

Regional Offices are open to meet by appointment with taxpayers and tax practitioners.
Regional office locations are in Beckley, Charleston, Clarksburg, Martinsburg, Parkersburg, and Wheeling.

Income Tax Filings
For personal income tax filings, we encourage the use of our approved electronic filing vendors. Free file programs may be available to certain qualified taxpayers. See the following web pages for more information.
